Business partner spotlight: Magnifi Financial

Since 2023, Magnifi Financial has donated more than a year’s worth of shelter to Churches United

Magnifi Financial donated 45 nights of shelter to Churches United on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, bringing the yearly total of donated nights to 148.

A month and a half of shelter, that’s how much Magnifi Financial donated to Churches United last week to round out Magnifi’s tremendous year of giving to Churches United. In 2025 alone, Magnifi has donated an incredible 148 nights of shelter.

Since 2023, Magnifi Financial has donated 375 nights of shelter to Churches United, ensuring that our neighbors have a safe place to rest their heads in their toughest moments.

This is thanks to Magnifi’s 3 Essentials program, which was created to help community members meet their most basic needs: food, shelter and clothing.

For every auto loan, Magnifi donates 100 pounds of food, for every home loan, they donate a night of shelter and for every checking account, they donate an item of clothing.

Over the last 10 years, Magnifi has donated over 1.2 million pounds of food, over 4,200 nights of shelter and more than 14,500 items of clothing. In 2023, Magnifi expanded the program to include Churches United as a shelter partner in the Fargo-Moorhead area. In 2023, 111 nights of shelter were donated, and in 2024, 116 nights.

But that’s not all Magnifi does to support Churches United. Employees also volunteer their time, serving their neighbors with kindness and compassion. A recent example of their generosity was assembling bed frames at Silver Linings Apartments.

“As part of our dedication to improving the well-being of the communities we serve through our 3 Essentials program, Magnifi selected Churches United as our shelter partner in the Fargo-Moorhead metro,” says Laura Grefsrud, Magnifi Moorhead branch manager. “The work of Churches United at the Micah’s Mission shelter is critical to our greater community, and their organization’s values closely align with ours.”

Churches United is grateful for Magnifi’s partnership and boundless generosity. Their devotion to their neighbors ensures Churches United can provide safe shelter, stable housing, nutritious food and a path toward healing.
