Minnesota State University Moorhead hosted Churches United staff, board members, and dozens of local leaders at the MSUM Christianson Alumni Center on July 14th. The community forum provided a venue for brainstorming, feedback, and collaboration regarding Churches United’s plan to build a social enterprise that serves the community while providing the mission with sustainable funding.

The demand for the services that Dorothy Day Food Pantry provides has been sharply climbing in recent years. The pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 3 p.m. and every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Spread Your Sunshine is set to sponsor five events for Disability Pride Month this July in Moorhead.

“July is Disability Pride Month, and our founder, Addie, has a disability,” Marisa Bengtson-Loerzel, co-founder of Spread Your Sunshine, said. “Spread Your Sunshine was very much based and born off the idea of inclusion and inclusion mattering, and Addie's experience with not being included.”

Grand Farm, a future-focused farming collaborative working to solve the biggest problems in agriculture through technology and innovation, is using its best assets to deliver an entire truck full of corn to Churches United during this year’s harvest season.

Churches United is investing in security and functionality by renovating the main entrance of Micah’s Mission in Moorhead. The goal of the renovations is to make the building safer for staff, volunteers, and guests.
