Spread joy on Christmas Day at Micah’s Mission

Churches United is seeking volunteers for Christmas Day brunch and activities. There are several time slots available to work with your schedule.

Christmas is just a couple of weeks away, and if you’re looking to make this Christmas even more memorable and meaningful, then Micah’s Mission is the place to be.

Churches United is currently seeking volunteers for Christmas Day brunch and activities. The brunch volunteer opportunity begins at 9 a.m. with helping to set up and prepare food, which is then served at 10 a.m., followed by light clean-up. The shift is scheduled to conclude at 11:30 a.m., though volunteers are encouraged to sign up even if they can only stay for part of the shift. No special experience is required, just a willingness to help and spread Christmas joy.

There are also three volunteer opportunities for Christmas Day, which run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., noon to 2 p.m., and 1 to 3 p.m. Volunteers can expect to help with crafts and games.

Christmas Day can be isolating for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, and by volunteering your time, you help create connection, comfort and a sense of belonging at a time when it’s needed most.

A couple of hours of your holiday can make a world of difference for someone else.
