Vehicle donated by Churches United helps area mother

Churches United wasn’t using the vehicle enough to justify keeping it, so the decision was made to get it in the hands of someone who needs it

Churches United knows firsthand how difficult it can be to get from Point A to Point B without reliable transportation, particularly in a sprawling area like the Fargo-Moorhead area.

That’s why several months ago, Churches United decided to donate a car that wasn’t being used enough to Fix It Forward Ministry, a nonprofit focused on solving the transportation issues for those in need in the Fargo-Moorhead community.

In a recently received letter, Churches United was notified that the vehicle was donated to a single mother working with West Fargo Public Schools. She has been a caretaker for her father, who is experiencing health issues that require multiple medical appointments. This vehicle will allow her to continue caring for her father as well as caring for her son with special needs, who also requires getting to and from many appointments. The letter states it will greatly enhance their stability and independence.

Churches United is thankful for Fix It Forward Ministry and Fix It Forward Auto Care for the work they did to make this donation possible. This is just one example of the incredible things that are accomplished when area nonprofits work together and lift each other up.
